Korean BBQ furniture is decided by the exhaust system. A table built for a telescoping overhead hood is a different object from one built around a downdraft grill, and the booths beside them change too. That is why we ask which exhaust system you have chosen before we draw anything.
What we adapt for KBBQ
- Grill cutout and trim. Sized to the grill insert's template, with a stainless trim ring and a top material that tolerates radiant heat and grease.
- Base for the equipment. Downdraft tables need room for ducting and service access; overhead-hood tables need a solid, stable base and a clear center line under the hood.
- Booth heights. Our double-sided KBBQ booth keeps the shared spine low, about 43 in (110 cm) overall, so it does not clash with hoods dropped from the ceiling.
- Cleanable everything. Commercial vinyl or leather with closed seams; no fabric pleats to catch smoke and fat.
| Exhaust approach | What it means for the table | What it means for the room |
|---|---|---|
| Telescoping overhead hood | Plain stable base; grill centered under hood | Ceiling ducting; booth backs kept low |
| Downdraft grill | Base houses duct and fan connection; access panel | Underfloor or low-level ducting; fewer ceiling drops |
| Recirculating unit | Base may house filter module | Depends on listing and your local code |
Table grills that produce grease-laden vapors are usually regulated as commercial cooking under NFPA 96 and your local mechanical code. Your mechanical engineer and the local authority having jurisdiction decide the exhaust; we build the furniture to suit their decision.
