This chair mixes a warm timber seat box with brushed steel side frames, the kind of honest, hard-wearing combination that suits a busy noodle counter. A square upholstered back cushion is carried between two steel posts, and the grey fabric seat sits on top of the timber box.
Construction. Walnut-tone solid wood seat frame and front legs, joined to brushed steel side frames that form the rear legs and back posts. A steel stretcher runs between the side frames low down, and steel foot caps protect the timber legs from mop water. The seat cushion and back cushion are upholstered separately and can be replaced.
Why it suits ramen and noodle shops. Steel takes the knocks from bags and trays; the timber keeps the chair warm in a room full of hard surfaces. The compact footprint fits tight two-tops and counter-facing rows where every seat counts.
Where it works. Ramen and noodle shops, dumpling bars, fast-casual Asian restaurants and cafe counters.
Options. Seat and back in commercial vinyl for the fastest wipe-down, or fabric with a stain-resistant finish; timber tone; steel in brushed, black or bronze finish. Counter-height version on request.
